Classic Soul Music has a special place in my heart. Not only is it some of the best music ever created, but as a young boy in the early 80’s, it’s the first music I came to know and love. My dad and (much older) cousins used to throw massive parties back in the 70’s. So by the time I showed up, I inherited a huge collection of R&B, funk, and classic rock records. Those albums made quite an impact in shaping the sounds that I still love to hear, even in current music.
This “feel good” classic soul music playlist is just a glimpse into the types of tunes that make me happy. Enjoy!
